How to intall and administrate correctly a Local Server License

Setup local server :
You have to prossess administrator right to setup the server.
Copy the See Electrical Server Manager files into an appropriate folder.
The files are located in …\Tools\Local License Server folder of See Electrical after the installation.
The requisite files are the following :



 SEEServerManager.Exe
 SEEProtectionService.Exe
 SEEProtection.Dll
 SEEProtection.Bat


After copying the files :
1. Launch the SeeProtection.bat file order to register the SeeProtection.dll.

 

N.B : If the UAC is enabled the you have to run SeeProtection.bat as administrator.

2. Start the See Electrical Server Manger :
The SeeServerManager.exe has to be executed as administrator.
The window License Server Manager appear, press ‘Settings’ button :

 

 Within this window you can see the server IP address and the server ID.
In the « Server license file » field load the ‘.LCS’ file and create a new ‘.LOG’ file to use to
write the protocol for Starts/Stops of the license server.
Define the port to use.
Save your settings by pressing Ok button.
As soon as a license file is defined, See Electrical License Server Manager displays the
serial number, module, level and the number of licenses available in your license.



 Setup user computer :
Before license registration you must :
1. Disable:
 UAC
 Firewall
 Proxy
 Rename the registry key if other manipulations were done before:

 SeeProtection.bat
 SeeProtection.exe
 SeeProtection.dll


Run the software to register the license :

Choose the « License from local server »




 Type your serial number
 Click the license on local server button
 Define the IP address and server port of the server
 Type your password
 Press the license button


The modules in the license wizard window will be displayed in green or in blue (Borrowed license). If you borrowed
the license, the number of days left is also displayed.
