How do I draw a filled rectangle?

The rectangle command does not respond to the 'Fill Colour' setting why and how do I create a solid rectangle?

This is by design since the rectangle is a macro of just 4 lines.
To draw a filled rectangle either use the 'Fill/Hatch Area' after drawing the rectangle or use the 'Polygon Area' command with the required fill and colour settings and define the 4 corners of the rectangle.
